Federico Bebber is one of the artists which I have used to experiment in the style of. Federico Bebbers work has influences my work massively and so for my final outcome I plan to carry my work forward in the style of Federico Bebber.
Federico Bebber's work with digital manipulation using Photoshop or other photo editing software to create the dispersion effect has informed my ideas to create variations on the multiple dispersion effect creating different style photographs each time .

Federico Bebber

Edward Honaker is an photographer who has influenced my work from the start. His work in documenting his depression has been a massive influence for my work to portray Mental Illness. A lot of my photo-shoots and experiments.
Edward Honaker's work using practical experiments have helped develop my work but the experiments using practical work in not a field I would be exploring much further. I decided I would prefer to use more Digital Manipulation in my work on photoshop. His use of costume and mise-en-scene.

Edward Honaker
Revisiting my Initial Ideas and comparing them to my final outcome plan I have noticed that my ideas and work is pretty consistent. It hasn't changed much from what I initially intended. Most of the photographs that I had hope of creating have been created. A Few have not been developed for reasons of it doesn't fit my work style or are impractical to take. However the further my photography has came has developed a lot from my initial ideas for example the influence of artist and photographer Federico Bebber has been implemented into my work and Final outcome which was not originally planned or thought of into sometime into my production work. The work with multiple experiments and refining of the photoshoots have developed my idea further and improved the outcome of the meaning and quality of the photographs. My intentions are been met and remain the same. However with developments it has refined my work. When experimenting in the style of Federico Bebber however I began to worry that I was no longer working in the topic of Beneath the Surface and was working on distortion more. Nonetheless through refinement I have stayed in the topic of Beneath the surface with deep meaning behind my new photographs and the visual representation of the smoke effect. Furthermore Developing the idea using influence from both photographers I will create a photoshoot in the Style of Federico Bebber and Edward Honaker together.

I am looking at the theme Beneath the Surface. I have chosen this theme because I feel it has a lot of potential as it gives me a wide variety of choices. I am fascinated in the creations and projects I have seen while researching. I feel like some elements of my photography can support me in my Media and photography via research and right ups.
Some key themes I am searching for around Mental Health issues, so I will look at schizophrenia, depression this goes into deeper sub themes under Trapped. My work is about bringing attention to subjects of mental health to raise awareness. I am looking to make my audience feel sadness and shock, some powerful photographs and messages to create emotional thoughts and feelings come off from the photographs. I am using camera controls like ISO to change how much natural light gets in or stays out of my photograph. Using visual elements such as tone and colour I can show my subjects in frame and have connotation different meaning. Compositions such as simplifications would be a great help to communicate ideas of loneliness and resentment.
I have chosen Laura Hospes as she is a photographer suffering from suicidal thoughts and depression. She is relevant as her self-portrait style photography that uses simplification to portray depression.
I have chosen Federico Bebber for his use of digital manipulation as well as again using simplifications to show the idea of real horror of humans losing control. I will use this to explore Digital Manipulation and grow my Photoshop skills and even add practical effects to create powerful photographs.
I have chosen Edward Honaker is a photographer who documents his depression. He hopes to achieve a similar aim as me to raise awareness on Depression and anxiety. I use his work and compare it to Laura Hospes to see the different styles to communicate their ideas.
I have chosen Maren Klemp as she looks to represent the conditions people can experience with mental health. I will look for her style of multiple exposures and shutter speed to create similar aims for my projects.
Lee Jeffries is a photographer who takes pure simplification or human emotion. I have chosen him as inspiration for his work around simplification and his ability to capture pure and powerful emotion and feelings.
I have so far created two experiments based off Edward Honaker. One based from the Bath of Milk photograph he created this was a practical experiment that then used Digital Enhancement in Photoshop Elements 14. A second one is another practical experiment which I am currently going through refinement as there are a few new ideas that I have with some ways of improving it with some new experiments and styles I want to try with it. There is currently one more experiment, again on Edward Honaker, in the style of his family portraits but with him Blurred out and Cut / scratched off.
My experiments have been quite successful I believe they have turned out well and have went in the way I wanted them to go. They have been effective and creative in clear style of my artists. However I believe I could refine them to be more simplified and apply more simplification. I could improve by taking a lot more care in the mise-en-scene including ever. I could develop my ideas further by developing my photographs on Photoshop elements 14 as well as try more practical work. As i have started doing with my weaving. They could have been informed by my artists as the similar style and techniques will be embedded into my photographs.
My next step is to look at the work of Federico Bebber with his digital manipulation using Dispersion Effects on his photographs. I hope to achieve similar looking photographs as Federico Bebber, meaning quality and effect, while having my own unique look and feel to it. I have a contingency plan of experimenting my work in the style of most of my artists seeing what works and what doesn't refining experiments while then creating big photo shoot productions based on my theme with influence from an artist. I am going to push my ideas further by looking into other aspects of mental health and creating better quality photographs.
Upon reflection of my work i have discovered my analytical work that i have wrote down and produced with the reasoning behind my photographs and photoshoots have went well. It would be even better if i looked at the work of others and instead of focusing on Edward Honaker try producing work in the style of other artists and photographers.

Maren Klemp wanted to explore the psychology between different states of mind and what they actual look like she considers her photographs Many of her photographs are visual representations of conditions linked towards mental illness

Laura Hospes photography was styled using self-portrait photographs and simplification of black or white painted walls which i used for most of my photo-shoots she also documented her depression as well as using the contrast levels to her advantage which i implemented into most of my work
