A camera raw image file contains minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, image scanner, or motion picture film scanner. Raw files are named so because they are not yet processed and therefore are not ready to be printed or edited with a bitmap graphics editor.
The High Pass Filter can also be used to create a high contrast portrait. There are lots of ways to use the High Pass Filter in post-production to add contrast
This creates a duplicate layer to which we will apply theHigh Pass Filter. Go to Filter > Other > High Pass... and set the radius to around 15. You can experiment with this figure; the higher the number, the more you'll soften the image
