Shutter Speed

I set my camera to 'TV' mode and the ISO to auto. I have changed the shutter speed on the camera to try and capture a photos that includes movement. I have used the Panasonic  HC-V250 Camcorder to capture these photos. These photos have been taken at Penshaw Monument and Puma Centre in Silksworth

I set my camera to 'TV' mode and the ISO to auto. I have changed the shutter speed on the camera to try and capture a photos that includes movement. I have used the Fujifilm Finepix s9600 camera. Taken in East Herrington

This album of photos range from a shutter spead of 1 which ended up having a f stop so bright it came out as a white screen all the way to 1/4000. As you can see the light differentiates in these photos as well as the action getting caught very clearly.

The motion is captured perfectly in these photos as the camera pans to track the man on the bike as he cycles past. The man stays in focus as the world around him blurs and warps making him the centre of the image and putting him into the spotlight showing the movement with great care.

These images shows the motion of a young man front flipping off a platform and captures his figure and positions in the middle of the air. Clearly shown in the centre with the world around him intacked with no drag or blur on him.

This image captures the motion of the young man riding down the hill again with him perfectly frozen in the moment while the world around him starts to warp into a blur while he stays in full focus.

I found the most effective shutter speed setting was between 1/800 and 1/1400 this setting helps capture enough of the motion without blurring. The action in the shot have clearly come through within this range of shutter speed setting.

I have learned how to successfully change the shutter speed depending on the motion and speed of the action. This will then help me later on document fast events.
